 As an added value service for customers Timber treatment is available at each of our four softwood distribution terminals from fully integrated double vacuum plants using Protim fluids. Deliveries can consist of one pack to a full load of treated timber.
There are two different treatment cycles available.
 Crown Superior Cycle is a double vacuum cycle where the timber is to be used in a dry situation but where a longer life expectancy is called for - typically 60 years.
Crown TF Premium Cycle is again a double vacuum and pressure cycle for use in timber frame manufacturing and where roof trusses are for use in insulated roof voids where condensation might take place. Both categories are considered as a "risk of wetting" and need this stronger treatment cycle. This will provide an anticipated life expectancy of 60 years.
