Softwood
Crown Timber co-operates with sector-leading Nordic sawmilling firms and purchases its products directly from these companies. These structural products are already kiln-dried, packaged to length in standard-size packages, fully wrapped and where applicable planed and strength graded at source.
The timber is shipped from the ports of Hamina in Finland and Kalmar in Sweden in vessels which are chartered by Crown on long term contracts. Full cargoes are delivered to Crown’s distribution terminals in England, Scotland and Ireland.
